Joshua’s Engineering Updates: Capsule X
As the Balloon nears completition (around three more weeks of testing before launch), its time for us to think of new ways to innovate and improve our experiments. Currently, our construction techniques are rather antiquated, so we thought it was time to upgrade to something more, namely 3d-printing, and for that we need 3d modeling. And so without further ado, I give you a rendering of our yet unnamed printable weather balloon capsule.
This capsule prototype is currently made up of ten individual parts that can easily be assembled and will lock into position without the help of any adhesive. Depending on our current launch and the results of this physical prototype, the yet unamed capsule may be avaliable to you by as soon Decemember. Estimated Cost: $300 dollars for an arduino and sensor-equiped reusable capsule
